Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the Special Issue titled “Digital Image Processing and Analysis for Medical Diagnosis”. Research into image processing and computer vision technologies is currently ongoing concerning their contribution toward medical diagnoses and treatments. In particular, the performance of these medical image processing technologies has advanced dramatically due to recent developments in deep learning technology.
This Special Issue aims to present image processing and analysis research applied to medical diagnosis and includes a recently published survey concerning medical image processing. Research that builds and analyzes new databases for medical image processing or improves previously introduced research using the latest deep learning techniques is also suitable. It is expected that these studies will be applied to clinicians' medical diagnosis and treatment.
Suggested themes and article types for submissions:
In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Medical image processing;
- Machine learning for medical images;
- Visualization and performance for medical images;
- Data acquisition for medical analysis.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
