Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a Special Issue of Diagnostics dedicated to the “Diagnosis and Management of Neuroendocrine Neoplasm”. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and therapeutic modalities, including an insightful glimpse into future prospects.

Neuroendocrine neoplasia encompasses a diverse group of tumors with varied clinical presentations. Contemporary progresses in conventional histopathological diagnostic norms, immunohistochemistry, molecular techniques, and imaging modalities have transformed the landscape of diagnosis, enabling more precise and early detection.

This Special Issue seeks to address, but is not limited to, the following areas:

Diagnostics:

Utilization of conventional histopathological norms in neuroendocrine tumor evaluation;

Immunohistochemical techniques for precise subtyping;

Molecular approaches in tumor characterization;

The latest imaging techniques in early diagnosis.

Management:

Current therapeutic modalities in neuroendocrine neoplasia;

Surgical approaches for gastroenteropancreatic tumors;

Chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy;

Management strategies for paraganglioma/pheochromocytoma;

Interventional radiology and radiotherapy in treatment;

Personalized medicine and its impact on patient outcomes.

Future Directions:

Emerging diagnostic and imaging technologies;

Advancements in molecular profiling and their clinical utility;

Innovative therapeutic approaches on the horizon;

Precision medicine and tailored treatment protocols;

Exploring the role of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and treatment.

We invite original research articles and reviews that contribute to a deeper understanding of the diagnostics and management of neuroendocrine neoplasia including paraganglioma/pheochromocytoma. We encourage authors to share their experiences and insights, and to discuss the implications of their findings for the future of patient care.

To submit your manuscript, please follow the journal's guidelines, which can be found on our website: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/diagnostics/instructions.

We look forward to reading your contributions, which will help foster our knowledge and improve the lives of patients with these conditions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
