Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Breast and gynecological cancers represent an imperative health problem because of their high incidence, mortality, and impact on patient quality of life. They are responsible for more than 40% of all cancers and 30% of all cancer mortality in women worldwide.

Major progress has been made regarding more accurate diagnostic tools and new treatment modalities in gynecological and breast cancers. Nevertheless, many open questions remain regarding early diagnosis, correct therapeutic options, and treatment sequences.

Implementing fully comprehensive diagnostic modalities and augmented surgical techniques and utilizing innovative new drugs alongside new radiotherapy procedures are priorities for continuously evolving and improving outcomes. This Special Issue aims to facilitate access to information for gynecologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, imaging specialists, and pathologists.

The paramount goal in managing these patients, along with survival, is to improve their quality of life; articles that discuss this aspect and new treatment modalities are essential for improving the standard of care.

Genetic factors play an important role in breast and gynecologic cancers, and we gladly welcome articles regarding their impact on biomarker research and precision oncology.

The submission of high-quality original articles, multidisciplinary works, and well-designed meta-analyses and reviews is encouraged to help gain better insights into the current knowledge regarding this topic and further research perspectives in the early diagnosis and management of breast and gynecological cancers.
