Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In this Special Issue of Humans, we invite contributions that incorporate diverse anthropological approaches—including but not exclusive to archaeological, biological, ethnological, and linguistic—to the concept and study of migration. We seek contributions that address notions of migration at the various levels of human organization, current or past, supported by the spatiotemporal dynamics of genes, artifacts, ecofacts, languages, and/or social units.
For example, papers might address, but are not limited to, topics such as migration as a response to the shifting availability of resources; evidence for movement; seasonality of occupation; consequences of migration on social dimensions of society; or migration as evinced by the movement and/or diffusion of material culture, ecofacts, language, or genes. Put plainly, we seek a variety of papers showing the ways anthropologists think and talk about migration.
For high-quality papers invited by the Guest Editor, authors may be entitled with a full waiver on the normal article processing charge.
If you consider contributing to this Special Issue, we encourage you to send us a tentative title of your paper in advance. Just feel free to contact the editorial office (humans@mdpi.com) if you have any questions.

Guest Editor
