Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to invite you to take part in this Special Issue dedicated to the relationship between alexithymia and mental health in adolescents.
Alexithymia is considered a factor related to increased psychological distress and decreased mental health in adolescents. However, the mechanisms involved in this relationship are still poorly understood.
The aim of this Special Issue is to stimulate research in this area. We welcome theoretical works, literature reviews, meta-analyses and empirical research aimed at extending knowledge about the connection between alexithymia and mental health in adolescents, and the potential mechanisms involved in this relationship. Both theoretical and empirical contributions and clinical cases that aim to extend current knowledge about possible and effective clinical and prevention interventions are also welcome.
I encourage the submission of research contributions from all parts of the world, particularly those with under-investigated cultural contexts. Cross-cultural research and the validation of tools in new cultural contexts are also welcome.
Dr. Matteo Fabris
Guest Editor
