Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce a Special Issue of the esteemed International Journal of Molecular Sciences that is entirely dedicated to the captivating theme of "Hyperelastic Structures." We believe that this topic holds significant promise, especially in the realm of biological and molecular research, as hyperelastic structures have emerged as remarkably versatile materials with exceptional properties, offering immense potential for various applications across different fields.

The primary aim of this Special Issue is to gather and showcase the latest advancements in the understanding of hyperelastic structures, with a specific emphasis on their biological and molecular properties. We are keenly interested in exploring the intricate mechanics of these materials at a molecular level, and thus, we cordially welcome contributions that encompass theoretical models, experimental techniques, and computational simulations in this domain.

Furthermore, we are excited to present groundbreaking research on the applications of hyperelastic structures in areas such as mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, soft robotics, and material science, all within the context of biological and molecular research. We strongly encourage researchers to share their innovative approaches, novel devices, and advanced technologies that harness the extraordinary characteristics of hyperelastic materials in these fields.

As we look to the future, we are also interested in visionary perspectives and emerging trends that explore the potential and future directions of hyperelastic structures, particularly in interdisciplinary studies that integrate these materials with other domains, such as materials science, biology, and geophysics.

It is our sincere hope that this Special Issue will serve as a platform for fostering collaborations and inspiring new avenues of research in the fascinating field of hyperelastic structures, with a strong focus on biological and molecular research.

We wholeheartedly invite you to contribute your original research articles, review papers, and short communications to this exciting Special Issue. Together, let us unlock the full potential of hyperelastic structures and their applications in biological and molecular research.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. International Journal of Molecular Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
