Dear Colleagues,
In this Special Issue, we invite you to contribute your novel research work and innovative progress regarding new materials and their application in electronics, optoelectronics and photonics. We encourage manuscript submissions of work related to photodetectors, phototransistors, photosensors and Photovoltaic materials and devices. The purpose of this issue is to highlight recent progress and trends in innovative photodetector technology and its applications. Areas of interest include (but are not limited to):
- High-speed and high-power photodetectors;
- Detectors for X-ray, UV, visible, NIR and IR detection;
- Avalanche photodiodes and single-photon detectors;
- Optical detectors based on 2D materials and substrates;
- Optical detectors with applications in optical communications;
- Photodetector application for image sensing pixels;
- Photodetector as neuromorphic vision sensor; and
- Integrated photodetectors for sensing applications.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
