Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature
Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for
future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive
positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
We are pleased to announce the “Symmetry 2025 Best Paper Award” for research and review articles published in Symmetry in 2023. Two reviews and two research articles will receive an award each. The papers will be selected after a thorough evaluation by the journal Award Committee led by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Sergei D. Odintsov.
Eligibility for the Award: – Papers published in Symmetry in 2023; – Open to all career levels; – Both regular and Special Issue submissions will be considered.
Selection Criteria: The papers will be selected by the journal Award Committee according to the following criteria: – Scientific merit and broad impact; – Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented; – Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts; – Clarity of presentation; – Citations and downloads.
The Prize: – Two review awards: CHF 400 and a chance to publish a paper free of charge in Symmetry in 2025 after peer review; – Two research article awards: CHF 400 and a chance to publish a paper free of charge in Symmetry in 2025 after peer review; – Each winner will also receive a certificate.
The winners will be announced on the journal website in June 2025.
