This is an exhaustive review of the current state of knowledge in the area of thyroid cancers with particular emphasis on the role of thyroid cancer stroma. The authors have done a good job of bringing to light the major players in the thyroid cancer stroma and how these players influence tumor growth. Moreover, they have reviewed critically the ongoing efforts at inhibiting these players.
