 The synthesis of the compounds is obvious and not objectionable. The synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, ¹D and ²D NMR ¹H-¹H, ¹H-¹³C and ¹H-¹⁵N  NMR spectroscopy and by elemental analysis

Wurfer and Badea described the preparation of two novel compounds,  2-{[4-(-4-methoxyphenyl)-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-yl]thio}-1-phenylethan-1-one (5) and 2-{[4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]thio}-1-phenyl-1- ethanol (6) by a multi-step synthesis starting from 4-methoxyaniline.

All synthesized compounds are well characterized by 1D and 2D NMR experiments, IR and elemental analysis.

However, the quality of the research work presentation is very weak as well as the introduction part, and both must be improved.

The introduction should contain at least a brief presentation of the class of described compounds, their chemical and biological properties.

The sinthetic procedures could be better explicated in the section "Results and Discussion".

Furthermore, an english editing is necessary, because many sentences are unclear and confusing and some mistakes are present.

Some detected points:

-line 28: ketones, should be keton

-line 33. the sentence is unclear, maybe a verb is missing 

-line 59. recrystallization of ethanol, should be from ethanol

-line 65 and 67. ortho position should be written in italics

 

I recommend this manuscript for the publication after a minor revisions around the english editing and the improvement of the work presentation.

the short note entitled "(R,S)-2-{[4-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl] thio}-1-phenyl-1-ethanol" describe the reaction of Synthesis of 2-{[4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]thio}-1-phenyl-1-ethanol from 4-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol, after one SN and a reduction.

The two molecules produced in this short paper are well describes and all the analysis are present and are significant for the structure resolution. 

 

Only one thing p 5 for the 1H NMR of the molecules (5), it is written that there is 7.41-7.34 (m, 7H, 1’-H, 2’-H, 3’-H, 4’-H, 5’-H, 6’-H, 2’’-H, 6”-H),

But there is no H in 1' position. 

 

With this correction, paper can be published.
