In the presented manuscript Authors focused on the synthesis, structures and properties the new salen type Schiff base ligand and its mononuclear Co(II) complex. The manuscript can be published after a minor revision.

2) In Schemes 1 and 2, water molecules should be added to the reaction products or placed above the arrow.
3) In order to confirm the purity of the compounds the data of elemental analysis should be also given.
4) In Figure 3 (Y axis) in the used scale, instead of commas sholud be dots.
5) The molar concentration unit (M) used by the Authors should be updated according to the IUPAC recommendations. Please add a short comments about difference in the shape of spectra compounds 1 and 2 seen in the range 3000-3500 cm-1.

Answer: According to the reviewer, Scheme 1 and 2 have been modified.
2) In order to confirm the purity of the compounds the data of elemental analysis should be also given.
Answer: we thank the reviewer for the comment. Elemental analyses of compounds have been performed and added in the Materials and Method Section

Answer: According to the reviewer, Figure 3 has modified.

Answer: we thank the reviewer for the comment. Molarity is now expressed as IUPAC recommendation (line 84 and 87 in the revised version, according to https://goldbook.iupac.org/terms/view/A00295). In addition, a short comment on IR spectra of 1 and 2 has been reported (line 95-97 of the new version).
