Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I read with great interest the manuscript, which falls within the aim of this Journal. In my honest opinion, the topic is interesting enough to attract the readers’ attention. Nevertheless, the authors should clarify some points and improve the discussion, as suggested below.

Authors should consider the following recommendations:

-       Manuscript should be further revised in order to correct some typos and improve style.

-        Recent data support the feasibility of sentinel lymph node identification in case of endometrial cancer, especially for early stage disease, and stress the necessity of an appropriate pre-operative mapping. It would be appropriate to better discuss these important issues, referring to: PMID: 32808495; PMID: 28108938.

Author Response

We thank the Reviewer for considering our manuscript and appreciate the comments.

We have revised our manuscript according to the suggestions.

Following are our responses to the comments:

  1. We have underlined the limitations of the study and compared our results with the literature in the form of a tabular summary of the available evidence.
  2. We have also discussed the two suggested recent publications (Hathout et al. and Wang et al.)

Reviewer 2 Report

The topic is important and within the scope of the journal. The submitted manuscript is a retrospective observational study with some useful findings. In general, the paper is worthy of publication, since the data on the superiority or at least non-inferiority of the sandwich plan are still sparse. However, the authors only insufficiently address the limitations of the study. There is no direct or historical control group. If the results are to be compared with the literature, this should be done in more detail, ideally in the form of a tabular summary of the available evidence. In this context, the paper would benefit from discussing some recent publications, e.g. Hathout et al. A Multi-Institutional Analysis of Adjuvant Chemotherapy and Radiation Sequence in Women With Stage IIIC Endometrial Cancer. Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys. 2021, PMID: 33677053 or Wang et al. Outcomes of "sandwich" chemoradiotherapy compared with chemotherapy alone for the adjuvant treatment of FIGO stage III endometrial cancer. Front Oncol. 2022 PMID: 36212496
