Design of a Passive Downdraught Evaporative Cooling Windcatcher (PDEC-WC) System for Greenhouses in Hot Climates
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Dear Authors,
I found your paper well structured and organized. You should just motivate the reason only greenhouses not provided with wind-catchers were considered (when the effect of the presence of other greenhouses is discussed) and what do you expect in case of wind velocity less than 3 m/s.
You will find other minor details (e.g. incomplete sentences and the absence of a blank between numeric values and units) in the pdf marked file.
Best regards.

This study investigates the potential of a passive downdraught evaporative cooling windcatcher (PDEC-WC) integrated into a greenhouse. The research work is well-presented but following additions/explanation are requested:
- For the validation of the greenhouse model, please explain the experimental set-up.
- Please include limitation of this study.
- What considerations are made for performance uncertainties in real-life application while using CFD analysis?
- Recommendation for the future works is missing under the conclusion section.
