Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

  1. The abstract that starts with the word “Normally” does not look good
  2. For Table 1, please indicate the reference to the data source in the first paragraph or in the title of the table
  3. Figure 1 is practically unreadable. Better to remove the dark background and put on a white background. It is also worth increasing the size of the legend part.
  4. In my opinion, it is better to divide the introduction into 2 parts - introduction and literature review (review of previous research)
  5. Delete the dot before the word Object – line 126
  6. A sub-chapter cannot have the same title as the main chapter - it is about chapter 2 and sub-chapter 2.3.
  7. In 2.3. Materials and methods there is nothing about methods - just about computer tools and data. However, it is worth saying something about the methods
  8. Figure 3 is practically not legible - maybe I would be better to separate it into 2 parts, which can be added in a larger scale
  9. Parts 3.1., 3.2., 3.3. - its actually consist of only 3 figures, graphs or a table. However, they need to be more precisely described and analyzed. The reader does not fully understand what it is presented in these calculations
  10. In chapter 3, entitled Result and Discussion, unfortunately only the results - there are practically no analysis and there is no discussion at all
  11. The results rather include some final data again, but nothing was written about whether they are important and what is new about this whole study.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper presents very interesting and useful data about the operational performance of high capacity thermal power plants.

The paper is properly organized and written. Nevertheless, in order to improve its quality and to present more detailed data of the developed experimental work, this reviewer has the following suggestions/remarks:

  • The quality of figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 must be improved because it is difficult to read the presented data.
  • It is mandatory that authors present the details of the analyzed power plants: configuration, composition, operating conditions (pressure, temperature, mass flow rate).
  • Details of how the measurements were done are required.
  • The uncertainties of the measured data and results must be presented in the paper.
