Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is interesting, and the manuscript is well written. However, there are issues related to the design of the experiment, which I would like to point out.   The authors could have used a factorial experimental design to test the scientific hypothesis of the study. It is not clear if the authors used the principle of the design of the experiments (randomization and replication) in the study. They could improve the description of experimental design.   Now, I would like to make some comments about the results section. I recommend avoiding describing the plots as they have done for figure 3. I suggest writing only the interpretation of the graph. On the other hand, I suggest giving more details about the ANOVA analysis, such as the number of replicates and degree of freedom for all sources of the variations.    I recommend accepting the manuscript conditioned a minor revision.

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

Please see attached comments. Thanks for your revisions, but further work is needed. I think all suggested revisions can be acheived without a lot more work, but the number of revisions adds up to a major revision in my view.
