Development of Garments with Elastic Straps and Pressure Applicator (GESPA) and “GVcorrect” App to Follow the Changes in Lower-Extremity Alignment (Genu Valgum)—A Pilot Study
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This study analyze to develop and assess the comfortability of garments with elastic straps and pressure applicator (GESPA) and the reliability and user-friendliness of “GVcorrect” app, which aims to catch the elastic straps’ pressure level (mN) and evaluate mechanotherapeutic intervention that does not restrict child’s natural movements . I think it’s nice idea and while I appreciate the effort of the work, but it requires major revision before ready for publication, in its present form it should be rejected.
>It’s hard to understand this paper’s conclusion. Please explain again.
>Even if patient wore the GESPA for 5 days, it’s hard to understand the patients was not excluded.
Please explain why again.
>Figure 1.A and Figure 7 was duplicated.
If you say it is for feed back, you should show what you have checked.
>Figure 3, 8 if it is only a screen offering, there is no need to divide it into two parts and it is difficult to understand.

Reviewer 2 Report
Dear Authors,
This is interesting, original, clinical paper. The authors aimed to to develop and assess the comfortability of garments with elastic straps and pressure applicator (GESPA) and the reliability and user-friendliness of GV correct application, which aims to catch the elastic straps’ pressure level. The study design is good, the methods and results are well presented. The number of patients and lack of the control group are the major limitations of this study.
Nevertheless, I have some suggestions to improve the paper:
- Authors should add the information that it is a pilot study to the title.
- The information about the manufacturer of GESPA should be added.
Best regards and good luck in the follow up study!
