Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors evaluated the occurrence of respiratory symptoms and their severity in students aged 12-18 years using e-cigarettes & kids using both e-cigarettes & traditional cigarettes. There are several issues that need to be addressed.

1.     Provide details regarding the statistical analysis of the collected data in materials and Methods.

2.     What is the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the study?

3.     What criteria have been used to determine the occurrence of symptoms associated with e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes? Did authors corelate it with sex, age and body weight? If they have data, please make a tabular column.

4.     Did the study receive ethical approval?

5.     Did participants report how many cigarettes they smoked or how many puffs they took per day?

6.     Participants answered the online questionnaires either at school or at home. Were students observed while answering questions by staff?

7.     Please provide limitations of the study.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript confirms the results already highlighted in the literature by many studies although it refers to a population of school students aged 12-18 years. In this regard, the reviewer does not consider the manuscript original although it is aimed at a specific population since according to the newspaper's indications that an "article" must be original and report scientifically sound experiments and provide a substantial amount of new information. the manuscript, if the journal allows it, could be published as a "communication" where the results obtained can be reported, highlighting the differences in a significant way compared to other studies
