Comments and Suggestions for Authors

1- Abstract is too long, and it should be decreased to 200-250 words.

2- In the keywords, please delete (( ; )) after Physalis

3- Please type and arrange the formats of Table according to the format of MDPI journals. Table 1 should BLOD.

4- AA% should not be BOLD, and after 100, authors should delete )

5- HRS% should not be BOLD.

6- Table 2 is not on the basis of MDPI s format.

7- Authors should double check all the references with numbering in the text, and DOI should be added for all references in the manuscript.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This manuscript identified the genetic differences among 10 species of the genus Physalis in Kenya, and their profiles of physicochemical and mineral elements were also analyzed. The results showed that the content of natural components in the 10 species of Physalis was not affected by growing environments, and many of natural ingredients have antioxidant effects with properties of health and medicinal values, the data was useful for the development and utilization of Physalis resources in respects of medicinal and edible value.However, as to some results or conclusion, such as the limited effects of growing environment on the synthesis and accumulation of natural products here , it  could be discussed  from the perspective of mechanism;

Comments on the Quality of English Language

On the whole, it's written smoothly and scientifically in English expression; However, some of the writing need to meet the formatting requirements.

This manuscript identified the genetic differences among 10 species of the genus Physalis in Kenya, and their profiles of physicochemical and mineral elements were also analyzed. The results showed that the content of natural components in the 10 species of Physalis was not affected by growing environments, and many of natural ingredients have antioxidant effects with properties of health and medicinal values, the data was useful for the development and utilization of Physalis resources in respects of medicinal and edible value. However, as to some results or conclusion, such as the limited effects of growing environment on the synthesis and accumulation of natural products here, it could be discussed from the perspective of mechanism.

Response: We have provided explanation on the effect of environment on the synthesis and accumulation of secondary metabolites in plants.
