Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I would suggest indicating in the Abstract limitations of the research and scientific novelty.
It would be worth to highlight the purpose of the article and the tasks and indicate the methods used.
It is recommended to indicate what is the plausibility of the research, as only 200 respondents were examined.
The literature review is poor as only two articles were analysed from the latest five years - the reference list should be considerably improved.
English should be improved; in some places, it is difficult to understand the idea.

Author Response

1. I would suggest indicating in the Abstract limitations of the research and scientific novelty. It would be worth to highlight the purpose of the article and the tasks and indicate the methods used.

Response:

Thank you for your time reviewing our paper and for your helpful comments. We have made key revisions to the paper based on your feedback. On the basis of your advice, we have added the purpose of this paper in the Abstract, as follows, with the differentiation of research and the methods used.

This study focuses on perceived value, which is not mentioned in previous internet-only bank studies, to analyze the popularity of internet-only banks. It does this by exploring the relationships between the perceived value and usage intention of customers. The purpose of this study is to help us understand customers’ decision making to accept innovative services by finding factors that affect consumer acceptance of internet-only banks. Using multiple regression, this study analyzes data gathered from college students in their 20s who are familiar with IT services and are interested in internet-only banks.

2. It is recommended to indicate what is the plausibility of the research, as only 200 respondents were examined.

Response:

Thank you for your time reviewing our paper and for your helpful comments. We agree with your point. Because what this study is dealing with is the latest service, we judged that those in their 20s are familiar with the mobile environment, and that is why we did a limited sampling with 20s using Internet-only banks. There was a limitation in this process of not being able to perform large quantities of sampling. So, we added a few more sentences in the limitations section to explain as followed.

Finally, the study surveyed approximately 200 people in their 20s in analyzing factors for the acceptance of Internet-only banks. Although those in their 20s have judged that they are more familiar with the mobile environment than other age groups, they do not represent all consumers who accept innovative services. For more general findings, future studies will require sample designs to represent the entire consumer population.

3. The literature review is poor as only two articles were analysed from the latest five years - the reference list should be considerably improved.

Response:

Thank you for your comments. We have reflected what you have pointed out with adding the following sentences.

According to researches that have studied the factors that affect the acceptance of internet-only banks, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, past experience with technology use, social influence, and perceived usefulness have been increased the acceptance intention of internet-only banks (Kurila, Lazuras, & Ketikidis, 2016; Kim & Park, 2017; Mustafa & Waheed, 2016).

Reviewer 2 Report

The topic is interesting, and issues related to internet-only bank service are gaining growing attention. However, this study lacks in-depth analytics regarding this topic, and the obtained implications are not worthwhile to be published. From the research methodology's perspective, this study needs to presume the independence among the three factors. But, the statistical model assumes that the three factors (values) are independent. Thus, the selected methodology is inappropriate. Some other methods from different fields (e.g., multiple criteria decision-making, MCDM) might be more suitable.

Response:

I agree that there should be independence among the three factors as you point out.

In many studies, perceived value is used as a multi-dimensional construct. In addition, this study has already validated variables through exploratory factor analysis to demonstrate this, and combines them into three independent dimensions, as shown in Table 2.

We also demonstrated by the method proposed in the Fornell and Larker (1981) to look at the discriminant validity which mean each variable were independent.

Reviewer 3 Report

The article covers a very interresting topic. The structure and design are adequate, it provides sufficient backgrouwnd and includes all relevant references, the methods used are adequately described, the results are clearly presented and the conclusions are supported by the results. Besides these considerations, the article is original, has a good and significant content, the quality of the presentation is good, it has scientific soundness and is interesting for the readers. It needs to be carefully read by an English native speaker in order to detect any deficiency in the quality of the language adopted.
