Are We Training in Sustainability in Higher Education? Case Study: Education Degrees at the University of Salamanca
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
After the review, the following suggestions are made:
- Double spacing should be revised throughout the text.
- Consider further analysis of the Kruger and Dunning effect to support the claims made.
- The authors point out an increase in the treatment of environmental issues in previous education as an element to take into account in the differences found in the first and last year students. Could not other variables be considered relevant?
Must be replace:
Line 18, line 58: "Conference of Presidents of Spanish Universities" with "Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE)"

Please consider a specialist to check the language of the manuscript. What you want to say is mostly clear but in a clumsy way put (which tiring to the reader and maybe sometimes confusing). For instance, in the abstract: "For each question, the comparison between the first- and fourth-year students’ answers enables the improvement perceived by the students in the sustainability competencies to be evaluated."
Please avoid passing voice. For instance, in the abstract, "The Mann-Whitney and Kruskal Wallis U tests are used to compare the results."
All in all, this is an interesting study. The authors should seriously reconsider the structure and the presentation of the manuscript. Please see the attached document with comments.

The authors have adjusted their manuscripts to my comments.
As for the research question and the objectives, I have my objections but I see that a few researcher use it in that way.
