Round 1

The research illustrated in the article presents elements of originality and relevance.
The research illustrated in the article presents elements of originality and relevance.
The underlying theory of the research is interesting, as is the perspective of investigation, as such dimensions are generally considered "close" and juxtaposed, but their possible relationship is not usually deepened.
The introductory part is complete and well-articulated; the exploration of literature is rich and adequate, although some references present inaccuracies or statements that can be considered too general. For example, Lines 27-29: not all neuroscience approaches are based on the polarization between ’cognitive and affective’; different lines of investigation in neuroscience are based on the assumption of the interdependence between the two dimensions. Furthermore, it is not possible to refer to neuroscience as a unique and unambiguous approach.
The definition of the concept of creativity adopted is clear and interesting (LINES 137-140), while in the next step (LINES 145-147) it is advisable to redefine and better explain the concept of emotional competencies in the light of the composite theoretical framework described above and the choices made.
The methodological part is well structured; it would have been interesting to present some items related to the dimensions explored (Emotional Block; Creativity Block).
The conclusions are clear and relevant for the study and the research in the educational field, but they could be enriched, with enlightenment on the application perspectives.
It is recommended to integrate the key-words list with the concepts that best represent the framework assumed (Ex: emotional creativity)

This is a very interesting and current article to be published in the journal. However, it would need to make a series of considerable changes, focused on updating the study itself, since it collects data from the 2015-2017 academic year, being already after three years, being in 2020, outdated. In this sense, it would be advisable to provide at least updated evidence, on more recent studies or contributions, along the same lines.
On the other hand, it is essential to define the methodology or method used; update the bibliographical references, there is only one quotation from 2020 and the most recent covers up to 2017; the annex does not include the questionnaire format although it is indicated in the text; two general objectives are included which should be broken down into several specific ones, to better understand the impact and importance of what is being sought. Finally, in the discussion there are no future guidelines, by way of foresight, or proposals for improvement, implications of an educational field, which would be the most substantial part of the paper to be incorporated into the teaching and learning processes, in Primary School for the development of creativity from emotional competence and its transfer to other areas.

The subject of the paper is very interesting and innovative.
The paper is well written and clarifying, but should be improved in the following aspects.
Summary should be improved by including specific data on results and highlighting the importance of the study carried out and the gap in the field of study.
The data collection instrument is not clear. What are the items? It would be great if the data collection instrument created and its psychometric properties have been published in an article previously so that it can be better explained and with more details to continue publishing the rest of the study results.
The ethical aspects of the study are missing. Do you have a favorable report from an ethics committee? Have the regulations in this respect been respected?
Study limitations are missing.
The bibliography must be updated, only 8 references from the last 5 years, it must also be reviewed and some references are not adapted to the journal's norms.
