Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Provide summary statistics by type of bank

Explain how you identify in the information disclosed the "sustainability indicators "... is it a simple text analysis? if it is so explain better the choices for the vocabulary and if it is supported or not by the literature

Why the analysis is presenting only data up to 2016? Please explain

How do you select the performance indicators used for the causality test? R square are quite low and so probably the choice to make a one to one regression is not the best solution. Provide some empirical tests that justify your choice or try to identify a model for regression with multiple independent variables and provide a test of the sensitivity with respect to a change in your control variable.

Reviewer 2 Report

I am grateful to Sustainability for the opportunity to review this interesting manuscript.
I believe that the paper is in good condition to be published, but, in my opinion, it would be interesting to separate the sections of 'Discussion' and 'Conclusions'.
In 'Discussion' section the authors should relate the findings of the study with what they have shown in the literature review.
In 'Conclusion' section, the authors should express their theoretical contributions, practical contributions for the company, limitations and future lines of research.
Good luck,
