Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

1. Please provide additional descriptions and sensor specifications for the measurement system presented in Table 4. 2. The readability of Figure 4 should be improved. 3. It is confused whether the case presented in Figure 10 is a construction management solution or a design solution. 4. In order to explain the low-pitched superposition phenomenon in the central measuring poing (ch.3) in Figure 11, is there any reason to cite Figure 12, the result of another paper? 5. Authors should improve the quality of Figure 12 and present a legend.

Reviewer 2 Report

It is important to study about indoor environmental qualities in high-rise residential buildings. This study is interesting and field measurements were shown. Many previous studies were reviewed well. There are my comments as below:

(1) It is better to suggest a diagram showing the CM solutions and their relationships in design and construction stages.

(2) What is the research gap between previous studies from the CM perspective and this study?

(3) Is it proper for the terminology of CM solutions?

(4) It is important to explain how your solutions are proposed based on the field measurements in Section 3.2.

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript titled “Construction Management Solutions to Mitigate Elevator Noise and Vibration of High-Rise Residential Buildings”.

Authors reviewed and analyzed the Elevator noise and vibration (ENV) sources and the transmissions of high-rise residential buildings (HRBs) through design guidelines. They measured ENV as a designated HRB that construction management (CM) solutions have not been applied to as a case study. Finally, the effectiveness of CM solutions proposed in this study was confirmed after measuring ENV of a HRB case. The results are of interest to the readers of Sustainability. The manuscript is well organized, but a more careful language check is required. The conclusions are supported by their literature and experimental investigations.
