Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript authored by Monika BÅ™ezinová is interesting and clearly written. However, in my opinion it needs to be little modified to be accepted for Sustainability.

  • Add axis labels to Figures
  • Table 1. Only ALE and special beers (Porter, IPA, Book)  What do you mean Book? There is bock and there are other kind of beers. Be carefull for description special beer =  beers which contain more than 5.5 % (ABV). Correct

An interesting article, but in my opinion it does not exactly match the main objectives of the journal. Please consider including it in a journal with a social focus.

Dear Reviewer, thank you very much for your comment on the focus of Sustainability
journal. I have considered several possible journal for this article, which deals
with SMEs, in the brewing industry. According to the specification of the journal
itself, which is published on the website: Sustainability is an international,
cross-disciplinary, scholarly, peer-reviewed and open access journal of
environmental, cultural, economic, and social sustainability of human beings.
In my opinion is Sustainability a perfect jurnal for my article
because it is
multidisciplinary and thus gives authors the opportunity to publish articles
with a broader scope.
But of course we can have a different opinion.
Thank you for your review.

Reviewer 3 Report

Overall the paper is interesting, the description is clear and precise but, reading it seemed more like a mini-review than an article. However I suggest a minor revision.

  • Line 61: what's the difference between craft-breweries and craft breweries?
  • In figure 1 and 2 put x and y axis titles
  • Line 42: try to avoid using “magic” in scientific writing
  • Subsection 4.2.: I suggest to insert (if is possible) one or more figures to represent these results in order to allow the reader a clearer understanding
  • Change the number of the discussion section (is not 4 but 5)

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you for your helpful review,

  • Line 61: what's the difference between craft-breweries and craft breweries?/ Both terms can be used, I will corect it and use only craft breweries in the article.
  • In figure 1 and 2 put x and y axis titles / done
  • Line 42: try to avoid using “magic” in scientific writing / thank you, I will.
  • Subsection 4.2.: I suggest to insert (if is possible) one or more figures to represent these results in order to allow the reader a clearer understanding / It would be very difficult to unify the conclusions into a table or figure, however, to make the text clearer, I underlined the most important reasons and results for each of the research areas.
  • Change the number of the discussion section (is not 4 but 5)/done
