Round 1

It would be better to include Research question. In page 11, the authors name are included McCabe, Nowak and Mullen, please remove that.
I suggest to include the following papers in the reference list and citations as this is a well researched topic. I suggest the following papers, but the author can find more:

The article examines an interesting and actual topic. I consider it publishable after some modifications. Please consider them:
- The introduction contains context and explanation, why to deal with the topic. The importance of the topic needs to be more significantly justified with reference to other sources, resp. opinions. It is also necessary to point out the research gap and justify it with a brief summary of what is known in the topic (and in what studies) and what needs to be examined.
The theoretical rationale is good. I recommend adding studies carried out in the V4 countries - see the authors' articles (JONIAKOVÁ, Zuzana - JANKELOVÁ, Nadežda - BLŠTÁKOVÁ, Jana - NÉMETHOVÁ, Ildikó. Cognitive Diversity As the Quality of Leadership in Crisis: Team Performance in Health Service During the COVID-19 Pandemic. In Healthcare : [International Scientific Journal on Health Care Systems, Industry, Technology, Policy, and Regulation]. - Basel : MDPI. ISSN 2227-9032, 2021, vol. 9, no. 3, pp. 1-16 online; JANKELOVÁ, Nadežda et al. Leading Employees Through the Crises: Key Competences of Crises Management in Healthcare Facilities in Coronavirus Pandemic. In Risk Management and Healthcare Policy. - [Wellington] : Dove Medical Press. ISSN 1179-1594, 2021, vol. 14, no. 1, pp. 561-573 online.
The theoretical model should be better illustrated - the arrow between trust in management is okay (is it a moderator of what relationship?) - quality of leadership and what?
- Although the authors state the aim of the study, please consider making hypotheses.
- Materials a methods:
- the authors report the research carried out in two waves - was the sample identical in the first and second waves?
- please supplement the calculation of other reliability and validity indicators in addition to Cronbach's alpha to make it clear that the proposed model meets all the common requirements,
- as method bias is a common and serious problem in research, please indicate the steps taken by the authors to mitigate it,
- are the measuring instruments used available in Polish? if not, have certain best practices been used to verify the validity and methodological soundness of the constructs used in addressing cross-cultural complexities?
- Results - I recommend to draw an empirical model for clarity - similar to the theoretical, but with empirical results
- Discussion - I recommend adding an international context - see the authors' studies
there is no summary of conclusions in the form of implications for stakeholders (e.g. hospitals, policies) or implications for theory and practice or certain highlights studies
Please correct formal errors, e.g. another font in some paragraphs, lines. In my opinion, the title of the article is long, I recommend shortening it with the emphasis on the key implication of the article (study)

The paper aims to investigate a one-year cross-lagged effect of quantitative and emotional demands on exhaustion and moderation effect of leadership on the above directions in a group of front-line healthcare workers, in a condition of particular threat, crisis, or uncertainty, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The strength of this study is an interesting analysis approach based on qualitative data to obtain a longitudinal effect of quantitative and emotional demands on exhaustion among frontline health-care workers. The article has the potential to be published. Still, the authors must operate some revisions to give consistency to the manuscript.
From 47-50 could be better represented with a figured form.
