Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,

I have appreciated your paper. This is a good work.
There are only some elements to check.

1) The abstract is not efficient, in my opinion should be improved because the quality of your paper is better than your actual abstract. Try to add values, explain better some points (concerning the analysis).

2) Check the tables... there are 2 different format/size.

3)figure 4-5: label is not correct

4) improve the conclusion, you have a good work, put your good results in a more efficient way.

5) explain better your decision concerning table 2. Why have you decided to select these cases instead of the list of table 1?

I have appreciated your work.
I'm sure that you will be able to solve this minor problems.

Best, have a nice day.

FIRST REVIEW REPORT

In the paper, Authors investigated the role of Information and Communication Technology in favoring emerging design processes in the urban context, in line with the principles of the Circular Economy.

The topic of the manuscript is interesting as well as the potential academic contribution of the work, but the authors should improve their research according to the following indications.

1. The concept of Circular Economy (CE) should be analyzed in the introduction section and in the theoretical background citing studies that show how it is possible to reach CE starting from other concepts.

For example:

https://doi.org/10.3390/su12125120

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2016.12.048

https://doi.org/10.17221/343/2020-AGRICECON

https://doi.org/10.1007/s10551-015-2693-2

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2019.01.036

2. Authors should explain how their research fill the gap in the literature defining the related hypoteses.

3. It should be discussed how the results can be interpreted in perspective of previous studies and working hypotheses.

4. Implications (for the theory, practices and policymaking) should be addressed and discussed in specific sections.

5. Tables and figures should report the sources.

6. An extensive editing of English language and style required.
