Quantitative Study on the Law of Surface Subsidence Zoning in Steeply Inclined Extra-Thick Coal Seam Mining
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This paper discusses inclined steeply dipping thick coal seam mining. The deformation and damage of rock strata and the characteristics and laws of the surface subsidence zone are assessed and analyzed quantitatively. The paper needs to be improved before it can be forwarded to the concerned quarters for processing. Consider my comments in the attached file for improvement.

Reviewer 2 Report
The manuscript is generally well done. This manuscript is suggested to be accepted after minor revision, some comments listed in below:
1. Keywords do not reflect the purpose of the manuscript. Therefore,it is suggested to add keywords “influence range, zoning angle”.
2. The font in Figure 2 needs to be larger.
3. Check this sentence “The monitoring points are D1, D2, D3, Q1, Q2 ... Q22, Q40” in section 2.1, the monitoring point Q40 cannot be found in Figure 3.
4. The units in Table 1should be in parenthesis.
5. There are many introductions about 3DEC numerical simulation software. In this paper, it is only a simulation method and is suggested to be simplified.
6. In the field of geotechnical engineering, there are many numerical simulation software, such as FLAC and PFC. Please briefly explain why they are not selected for this study.
7. In Figure 5, it is suggested to add thickness to each rock strata, so that readers can better understand the simulation scheme.
8.The description of Figure 14 (a) and (c) is consistent, please recheck.
