Please add explanation about the database for the system dynmamics modeliing. The objectives and concept was well represented but it is quite difficult to understand the input data.

For example, water footprint is one of main indicators but there are many variables relating to the water footprint. So you need to address details of input data or variables of indicators.

In addition, what is the scale of boundary of the system dynamics modeling? Is it Sao paulo itself? or include rural area nearby the city ? most of food are produced in rural area, so is ULL quite related to the food production? Maybe food import from rural area might be main indicators?

Reviewer 3 Report

Literature review is too weak. As there are many issues that readers need to refer to other research, related references should be cited.
A flowchart of research for understanding research steps is necessary.
There are some issues such as ecology, climate change, decision making, stakeholders, economics, and … that a continuous methodology and discussion are not clear. Also, some key goals such as energy have not been considered properly.
How could develop the methodology for other case studies? How could validate the results, and find the effectiveness of the methodology comparing other research?
