Post-Occupancy Evaluation of Green Technologies for a High-Rise Building Based on User Experience
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This paper presents a POE study on a green building located in Lishui Zhejiang province in China. The focus is on the occupant surveying and site measurement of the environment. DSF is the highlighting green technology. The POE study is meaningful, however, it has some shortcomings to be a qualified journal paper:
(1) To do a POE of a green building, only conducting evaluation of its appearance and built environment if far from enough. Energy consumption is another aspect that has to be evaluated. An energy audit shall be conducted to show is energy efficiency.
(2) There are confusing and incorrect calculations in the paper. E.g., Table4 shows Correlation coefficient between participants’ background and green building techniques, but the smaller (even zero) numeric numbers explained by the authors with "significant correlations", without clear illustrations.
(3) English has to be improved.
