Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript is well organized. The suggestions are given as follows:
1.    The bibliography may be improved, as there are 47 out of 127 references, i.e. over 37% older than 5 years. Also, there are 29 out of 127 references, i.e. over 22% older than 10 years.
2.    What is the role of uncertainties in this research?
3.    Future research directions should be suggested in the conclusion.
4.    This version needs professional proofreading to address the numerous grammatical errors and writing mechanics.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper provide a review on Energy transitions (ETs) with a focus on systems frameworks, a discussion of the implications of adopting SD logic for rethinking energy system dynamics and ETs, a framework for evaluating ETs, and a proposal of the problem and its potential by deriving some difficulties with the current Italian ET.

The SD logic recommends examining the value that participants can imagine in their contacts and the services they can trade, and it considers the institutionalization methods that redefine ETs, outlining potential ET threats to viability and sustainability.

In addition, the research opens the door to more in-depth examinations of S-D logic's contribution to ETs and the operationalization of additional systems frameworks in the integrative framework. The research project in this manuscript is very interesting and can be published in this journal. However, few corrections and modifications have to be done to improve the quality of this manuscript:

1. The abstract must state the goal and justifications for undertaking this study.

2. Clarify and state the contribution of this paper in the introduction section of the amended edition. A critical analysis of recent scientific publications on the subject that inspired the submitted idea must also be included. Please attempt to compare your results to other materials that have been published in the same field of study in order to offer suggestions for improvements and contributions.

3. The reviewer suggests incorporating a list of the text's abbreviations and nomenclatures because it uses several of them.

4. It's wonderful that the approach and results of the simulation tests are presented in a scientific way.

5. The reviewer feels that the key findings of the study, the advantages and disadvantages of the suggested algorithm, as well as recommendations for resolving the disadvantages, should all be highlighted in the conclusion section. The conclusion therefore has to be restructured.

Reviewer 3 Report

This study paves the way for deeper analyses on the theoretical contribution of S-D 671 logic to ET literature and the operationalization of the other systems. Thus this manuscript in the current version is good.
