It was a great pleasure that I reviewed the manuscript entitled “The embodiment of Muslim intention elements in buying halal food products: A literature review” I think the paper presents some interesting findings. Here are several comments and suggestions that might help strengthen the paper. 

 

1.     In the Introduction section, I think the authors should provide more specific description of halal food products. I would assume most readers cannot picture out typical halal food products.

2.     In the Methodology section, the authors should provide more detailed description regarding the first to third steps described in lines 164-168.

3.     Also, in the Methodology section, the authors should provide more detailed description how VOS Viewer was utilized to analyze the findings reported in the Discussion section.

4.     The Discussion section should be called the Results section.

The paper is good and has a relevant contribution in understanding Halal consumer Behaviour and Halal Products. There are some little aspects that would improve the text, thus I consider that implementing these aspects would increase the relevance of the paper.

Please try to have consistent paragraphs, i.e. paragraphs consisting of 2-3-4 sentences.

" Three verses in the Qur'an 117 state that Muslims consume halal foods and" please cite. This is not a general know truth in Europe-the rest of the world.

The introduction should also contain a proper presentation of the research gap, explain how the gap is transposed into a research question, explain how the research question is implemented in the paper - its sections and how the research question relates to any theory. It would be very useful to pinpoint the novelty of the research by explaining how the paper extends present knowledge - any theory

The last paragraph of the introduction should contain a brief description of the next sections of the paper.

The authors MUST explain from the title and the abstract and the introduction that they have a REVIEW of the literature. They must cite proper references regarding how Structured Literature Reviews with VOW Wiever are implemented. 

Section 2 should be called Research method

Section 3 is not the discussion, but the actual content of the paper. It should be clear and logic how this section is constructed.

The paper needs a section of consistent implications, where authors pinpoint what has been done and what has been NOT Studied in the literature, i.e. which are the future research directions.

Conclusions should try to pinpoint how the paper adds value to knowledge, what the managerial OR societal implications could be, as well as what are the limitations and the future research perspectives.

 

Please try to sharpen the focus of the paper with the aim and scope of this journal

Please also try to add more references from 2022 and 2021.
