Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors are proposing a system for Tsunami early warning using Fuzzy-logic method enhanced with WSN. The focus is to reduce energy consumed and detection delay utilizing cost-effective set-up. The problematic and motivation behind this work is rigorously presented and justified via a fair literature survey. However, I am having the following concerns:

1) The issue of system's complexity, as one major claimed motivation, is not addressed in comparison with other systems. In this system too, the issue of sensors, their calibration, maintenance, etc.. is due. It’s not only energy and delay constraints!

2) It is not shown how data are channeled/hopped
through the WSN (mesh, start??)

3) In section 3.1 (data collections), the statement in line 223 is confusing with lines 219-222. You need to clarify Fuzzy input is from the real sensors or for ref [19]. Or clarify.

4) Lines 276-277, there is no comparison of your data with [25] and other data, which you claimed to improve.

5) Structure/writing:

- Table2 missing is unit of pressure and water level

- Fig2 misplaced
