Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is interesting and well-written.

However, I suggest to the autor to explain clearly the methodology used and It would be helpful if they explained sections 4.2 and 4.3 more clearly.

In the section 4.2, the authors illustrate the elements more disclosed but in the methodology, they do not indicate a list of the content element researched.

In the same way, in the section 4.3. they speak about the guidelines but in the methodology section they do not explain that they find this information.

Moreover, I suggest to include the "setting the context" of the  South Africa .

At the end, it would be useful to frame the study of the sustainability report of the South African Logistics in a specific theory

Reviewer 2 Report

The article is interesting, and the researched problem has scientific potential, but the paper has various deficiencies. Some problems need to be solved:

1. The paper does not describe a clear research plan with steps to be followed.

2. The literature review must be enriched with recent sources (2019-2022).

3. The research method is highly descriptive. The statistical data must analyzed further in the paper.

4. In my opinion, a section of conclusions that includes theoretical and managerial implications, research limitations, and future research directions would be helpful. The current form of the conclusions briefly repeats what was stated in the results and discussion section.

The article presents some scientific value and can be published after carefully reviewing the reported issues.

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors made important steps on the way to revise the paper. There are still some issues that need to be addressed:

1. Very large tables (2, 3, and 11) should be included in the Appendix because they interrupt the flow of the article.

2. A dedicated section of discussions or conclusions that includes more theoretical and managerial implications, research limitations, and future research directions is recommended.

The paper can be published after reviewing the indicated issues.
