Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

An interesting and up-to-date work in the general context of climate change.

Based on a rich specialized literature, the finished work is even more relevant for the depth of ecological behavioral studies.

Appreciating the efforts of the authors, I consider, however, that some details/completions are still needed:

- assessments regarding the statistical significance of the analyzed samples which, in both empirical researches, were very low. Their representativeness based on the age criterion is not convincing;

- the inclusion in the conclusions/discussions chapter of some assessments resulting from the organization of a "focus group" with a relevant specialist component, on the topic addressed in the work.

I propose accepting the work only after these additions are introduced.

Dear Authors,

The paper is well-written. It requires some improvement. Some suggestions are given below for your consideration and action.

Page 2: End of the first section authors may include a brief of the subsequent sections, which would help the readers.

The literature gap should be clearly demonstrated.

Authors should look at the following recent publications:

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2022.132290

https://doi.org/10.3389/fenvs.2022.1007959

Page 3: Ref. to Table I, authors should include a column to discuss the findings of the cited studies.

Under the methodology heading, the sample size may be reported.

Page 7: Ref. Table II, Deep ecology definitions by various authors should be placed under one heading only. [Ref. 56, 57, 59].

Page 9. Ref. to Fig. I. Please check the spelling of the text written in the note. (Note: The sentence should be "N300.......negativity, P300 means......positivity").

Page 10: Please discuss the statistical package used for analysis. The strength of the statistical package may be highlighted.

Page 14-15: Ref. to General discussion: Findings of the current study may be linked to the earlier studies with a greater distinction. I hope you would incorporate the suggested changes to improve the manuscript.

Wish you all the best!

Regards,

Reviewer.

Congratulations!

Thanks for incorporating the suggested changes.

The following correction may be incorporated:

Please refer to page 16, 2nd paragraph: "Yadav [79] integrated....... behavior". It should be "Yadav et. al. [79].....behavior".
