Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I would like to thank the authors and the editor for the opportunity to read the above-named manuscript. The studied topic is not a new one and the manuscript focuses on one single relationship only. From my point of view, the manuscript and the study have several limitations:

- From my point of view, the topic of the manuscript does not fit to the general aim of the journal.

- The introduction does not provide sufficient information on previous research. A lot of studies have focused on health and SES as well as physical activity and motor skills and SES.

- The aim of this study is very limited.

- The case number is very low (n=108).

- If I got it correctly, recruitment took place only at one school.

- The methods section is not very clear. Is income the only variable that was used? What tests were conducted for each of the named variables. What are the outcome categories of the other SES variables?

- Were the categories for the final SES variable only build based on the income variable?

- The discussion is very short. No comparions to previous research are drawn.

- Potential limitations are not discussed.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper aim is fitting with the journal, but I think the authors must extend the work and present some contributions and studies.

Abstract is well.

Introduction can be extended with some additional references and some additional information about the SDG.

Materials and Methods please link to the existing literature.

Participants and Settings, maybe you can present some descriptive statistics about the populations and give some additional information.

Results after each table and figure please insert some comments some information and please link to the existing literature and present the similarities and de differences.

Discussion is too general, and I miss your personal opinion.

Conclusions I suggest eliminating the references, maybe you can add it to the discussion part.

Pleas add some theoretical, practical and managerial implications and also limits and future research ideas.

Good luck!
