Recommendations:

a) In epigraph 2, the information on the location of the study area should be completed (figure 1). It would be relevant to offer more detailed information on the whole of the Brzozów district (it is important that its degree of internal spatial differentiation be clear, beyond the application of the algorithm used for delimitation).

b) Figure 4 (wind rose) does not seem necessary to be included.

c) Concerning the epigraph of conclusions the arguments on the applicability of the indicator to other territories should be expanded, emphasizing both its limitations and its potential at different scales.

Dear authors,

the work is interesting. Large parts of the work are written accurately and with adequate references. Unfortunately, overall the work needs a deep general revision. Especially:

- Please try to define "Agriculture wasteland" and its relationship with European policies. For example, which is the relationship with the High Natural Value Farm (HNVF)? Probably, some area shows the characteristics of both kinds of land. In general, which is the relationship with the protected areas?

- Data: for each data please define spatial and temporal resolution. Is it possible to reply to the model to conduct a diachronic analysis?

- Please define the erosion model used. it does not seem so clear. is it an empirical model?

- For this kind of indicator the weighted sum is it the best model? Is it adequate for this scale? I think that's necessary to argue.

Explanation

Please try to define "Agriculture wasteland" and its relationship with European policies. For example, which is the relationship with the High Natural Value Farm (HNVF)? Probably, some area shows the characteristics of both kinds of land. In general, which is the relationship with the protected areas?

Corrected text. The term “agriculture wastelands” has been defined in the article.

Data: for each data please define spatial and temporal resolution. Is it possible to reply to the model to conduct a diachronic analysis?

The spatial and temporal resolution of the data used has been described as precisely as it was possible. A diachronic analysis of the study area would be possible to conduct on condition that all the data providing authorities owned complete archives of the spatial information. However, an analysis of the data change is not a subject of the paper and it may be considered as a topic of another article.

Please define the erosion model used. it does not seem so clear. is it an empirical model?

The erosion model has been designed on the basis of the concept of Józefaciuk and Józefaciuk, 1990. The necessary information has been added.

For this kind of indicator the weighted sum is it the best model? Is it adequate for this scale? I think that's necessary to argue.

The weighted sum has been used mainly for computing the aggregated values from the polygons varying on the areas. All the criteria of the general score are equivalent as they are related to different factors.
