Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Please find below some areas of improvement to your manuscript "A comparative analysis of econometric models and machine learning algorithms for pedestrian crash severity prediction"

1. Review the title and link it to the content  of your paper. Make it shorter.

2. Abstract: Please review it and make your contribution and the novelty of your work clear to readers.

3. There is plenty of literature in this area of research. Add a section for related work / previous work. You must summarize what you have learned, and state clearly the novelty of your work.

4. Tables can part of an appendix, since they don't add value where they are. Otherwise you need to add detailed explanations for all tables.

5. Remember to organize your paper logically; and write using clear, simple sentences without unnecessary words. In addition, add more technical details across the manuscript in all sections (explanations are too basic).

6.- Avoid acronyms as possible. Remember to define them the first time you use them. For example, ML is defined twice.

7.- Use diagram blocks if possible.

8.-  Define all the parameters related to equations through the paper. I recommend to use tables.

9.- You need to include analysis of different types of errors, and propagation of errors, in the methodology.

10.- Inappropriate self-citations by authors were detected, please remove them from references. You must cite the original and reliable sources of information, and not your previous papers.

Authors should avoid multiple citations. It is better to explain each otherwise remove.

Contributions of this paper is not clear and highlighted.  At the end of introduction section, point by point highlights contributions.

If possible, try to implement some latest AI or swarm based methods.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

Please find below areas of improvement for your manuscript: “An integrated approach using parametric and non-parametric models for pedestrian crash severity prediction in Great Britain”:

1.- The title is still too long.

2.- Summarize (using tables) what you have learned from literature review.

3.- More technical details across the manuscript in all sections (explanations are too basic). You must review the whole manuscript in detail.

4.- Use tables to summarize all the parameters related to equations through the paper.

5.- Your explanation didn’t address the propagation of errors in the methodology.

6.- Remove all from references self-citations by authors. You must cite ONLY original and reliable sources of information, and not your previous papers.
