Factors Influencing Returning Migrants’ Entrepreneurship Intentions for Rural E-Commerce: An Empirical Investigation in China
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The article presents a very interesting take on the issues of e-commerce and migratory attitudes.
In my opinion, the research procedure was conducted correctly. However, I miss, for example, detailed information about the number of questionnaire returns from the initial survey. I draw attention to the precision of the terms used in the text. I would argue with the statement 'COVID-19 had a very significant impact on the research survey'. I believe that of greater importance than the disease itself was the declared pandemic status and the consequent lockdowns and other restrictions that were introduced. So from a scientific point of view, these are two different issues that should be considered separately. The hypotheses put forward in the study are correct but, in my opinion, some of them are trivial. Their number could be reduced.
Only just over 41% of the literature is from the last five years.
Please also verify the literature list as it needs editing corrections (please pay attention to missing dates, alphabetical order or missing spaces).

I am very impressed with the authors' work, very good job. The only thing I would change is the confirmation of the hypotheses and the possibility of using the results, I would present in a summary in a table or on a block diagram to illustrate the relationship.
I have no substantive comments.

- The paper is very interesting. The part of literature review is lower than the research part. A very well-developed research part, starting from research methodology, through testing research tools, formulating hypotheses and analyzing conclusions.
- I suggest giving the equivalent in EUR or DOL for yuan in parentheses (e.g. line 56). Also if
- I suggest providing percentage references to the entire population when indicating e.g. the number of employees in e-commerce (e.g. line 154).
- Descriptions of tables and figures should be on the same pages. table 1.
- With regard to the analysis of factors on a micro and macro scale - this is a very cursory and insufficient analysis of the literature.
- In hypothesis you mentioned start-ups – but in literature review there is no direct explanation of this important part – maybe there is sufficient to add some keywords in literature review.
- There is a gap wit current literature mostly references has been written more than 2 and even more years ago.
