Comments and suggestions:

               The reviewed article is interesting in the area of the human resources management. The self-sacrifice leadership model is original. In my opinion Authors should take into account cultural aspect. The activities, which are normal (typical, wanted) in collectivist culture, may be rejected in the individualistic culture.

               The description of the leadership and structure of the organizations is clear. The conceptualization is a strong point for reviewed text. The description of the participants (Table 1) is good. Text fragment [290 – 296] “Because of the rapid change in the hotel business environment…” in my view matches in the Introduction.

               In my opinion Authors emphasize too much the role of managers' self-restraint, but they can pay attention to democratization of work culture, equal and fair treatment, giving up privileges but not bonuses for performance and high ratings from customers.

               My recommendations:

- please detailed describe the specifics of the Korean hotel market (small business, chains of hotels, large companies). The Authors based on three-star or above hotels in Korea’s metropolitan area, but why this research sample? How many hotels of this type there are overall? Please compare with total number of hotels;

- take into account the cultural aspect;

- objectivize the managers' self-restraint, because it's not about greater corporate profits, but about staff culture and team relationships. Managers should not give up their employee's rights and fair salary;

               For proofreading of texts: punctuation in 244: “respectively. . Among”.

 

In general: article is short, concrete and interesting.

Based on your valuable advice, our research has become more valuable. The following is a revision of the manuscript.

-We presented the number of hotels in Korea using additional references. In addition, we explained why we conducted this study on more than three stars hotel food and beverage employees in each metropolitan area.

-As you advised, we presented the characteristics of Korean corporate culture in reference to the cultural aspect and stated that the legitimate rights of managers should be prioritized for sacrificial leadership.

-We have deleted one punctuation mark for correcting the body you pointed out.

A systematic review of the literature is carried out correctly - it contains valuable citations and references.
The described research methodology is correct. The hypotheses and research results are ok.


However, I suggest you make the following changes:
abstract:
- there is no clearly defined research objective
discussion:
- wrongly named part of the text - here are descriptions of the research results, while the discussion should describe the limitations of the research and interpretation of the results
conclusions:
- add conclusions comparing the results obtained from the research with the literature output
- describe the possibilities of using the results in future research
