Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

  1. The X-axis should be shown in Figure 4, and the figure caption should be brief.
  2. On page 7, lines 180-186, the energy consumption information is provided for which of the five locations. Please provide the reader with complete information. Please also include the annual energy consumption for the other four locations.
  3. More information, such as a diagram or schematic of the container, should be provided. In addition, more analysis of total energy generated and demand for each system at various locations is required.
  4. The payback period calculation for each system at each of the five locations should also be addressed.
  5. Avoid using the words "we" and "I" throughout the manuscript. • The manuscript contains numerous English errors and grammar mistakes. It must be reviewed by someone who is fluent in English.

Reviewer 2 Report

The presented article is an analytical calculation of the performance of a multifunctional container with solar modules. The topic of the article is relevant and may be of interest to specialists and researchers in the fields of emergencies and the optimal use of resources. The authors have done a certain search and analysis of sources, however, as comments and recommendations, several points should be noted:

1. The authors should slightly increase the length of the article, paying special attention to the designation of the scientific component of the article (this applies especially to Figure 4 - calculations should be added and expanded in the text of the article).
2. In the list of sources used, authors should also add relevant articles on the topic under consideration from high-ranking international journals, and shorten links to Internet resources (for example, Wikipedia), if possible, leaving only the most basic ones.
3. What are the estimated costs of the proposed containers, who finances their purchases? The authors should disclose these points in the text of the article.
4. The authors of the article should describe in more detail the technical solutions, structural elements, schemes, etc. proposed in the article.
5. What is the rationale for the choice of the studied specific areas of application of the container, since there are many of them indicated in the article (Figure 1)?
6. Is the use of wind turbines not planned by the authors in the design of the container? For Russia and Chile, the power generation schedule would improve significantly (Figure 4).
7. It is advisable to illustrate the description of the structures of various containers with sketches in the supplementary figure.
8. Figure 4 should be divided into several different figures and each one should be described in detail (the information will be more convenient to perceive), as well as the information from the figure caption should be transferred to the text of the article.
9. In the caption to Table 1, as well as in the table itself, typos "á" should be corrected.
10. The authors should add a section "Directions for further research", where they indicate where and how it is planned to implement the results obtained in the work.
11. For what purpose is the patent mentioned after the conclusion?

In general, the presented article leaves a positive impression, however, it is not without flaws. After eliminating these comments and taking into account the recommendations made, the presented article can be recommended for publication in the journal Sustainability.

This manuscript can be accepted for publication after major revisions, see the followings:

*The introduction should be improved (The literature review is not good).
*English should be improved.
*The Abstract and Conclusion should be improved. Outstanding results should be defined as quantified in the abstract and conclusions.
*The References should be updated (Between 2018-2022).

*The novelty of this article is not clear. Please more explain it.
*Better description and explanation of figure 4. The description of the results in figure 4 is not sufficient and convincing.
*There are some typing errors and inaccuracies in the manuscript. Please, check the paper again for any possible misprints.

*The quality of figures should be improved.

* How has the validity of the results been examined? Please mention this in the text of the full article.
* Introduction part needs to be extended by some of the recently published papers to show the importance of renewable energy consumption , renewable energy systems and Sustainable Energy in the good journals. The following references may be included in this manuscript:
