Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,

I received a very interesting article for review. However, the paper needs some revisions so that it can be well appreciated by the intended audience.

The title of the article should be rethought because it does not present the content of the article - it must be changed and clarified.

The abstract does not include the approach introduced by the authors. This should summarize effectively the work done in the paper.

The entire article should be adapted to the Template of “Sustainability”

There is no clear link between the title of the article, objectives, research
methods and the summary and the final conclusions.

The research goal should be specified in the introduction, otherwise, the introduction does not meet the publication standards in line with the guidelines of "Sustainability".

Good Luck

The study uses bibliometric coupling methodology to segregate the research themes of cross listing (influential aspects, intellectual structure and conceptual structure) and explore its significance. The cross-listing literature are classified into clusters with focus on important trends in corporate finance.

Predominantly all the themes are related to corporate governance aspect of sustainability.  Are there any themes related to social aspects of sustainability?

A theoretical discussion may be included to highlight the linkage between cross listing and sustainability.

Reviewer 3 Report

The issues raised by the authors are topical and interesting for the reader. It can be a source of inspiration for both theorists and practitioners. It can be a starting point for further scientific research.

The text is large and clear. The authors logically conduct a scientific argument.

The title indicates the subject matter discussed in the text.

The abstract is well written, comprehensive and sufficiently concise.

The keywords are appropriate.

The introduction is very well written, setting the topic in context. The authors indicated the purpose, research questions, research gap and described the structure of the text.

The authors have performed a critical review of the literature (70 references). It is relevant to the subject matter discussed, but only slightly more than 17% of the items are publications published in 2018 or later. The citation of the latest literature should be strongly increased - not older than 5 years. The authors write "This research explores the three themes of influential aspects (...) literature in cross-listing published in the Web of Sciences until July 2020", but it cannot be that the text lacks references to the latest publications (publications from 2021-2023 are missing!).

The text does not contain self-citations.

“Methods” - the description is clear. The research process is described in detail. The research process does not raise any objections.

„ Results and discussion” section is logical and clear.

The conclusions are correctly formulated, based on the results of the previous analyzes. The Authors should clearly indicate the shortcomings of research and perspectives for further research.

Reviewer 4 Report

Although the article deals with an interesting topic, an extensive bibliometric study is carried out on the literature regarding the role of Cross-Listing of Shares in obtaining the performance of companies, I consider that the paper does not respect the topic of the journal and is more suitable for publication in another journal, focused on studies regarding the financing of companies or the development of capital markets.

Best regards,
