Round 1

Dear Author(s),

My suggestions for your work;

- fast in the title started with a capital letter. must start with a lowercase letter

-The purpose, sample, method and research question of the study cannot be understood from the information given in the summary section of the study. summary title should be restructured. In order to avoid conceptual confusion, I suggest that the summary section be designed in such a way as to have purpose, research question, method and findings.

-Between lines 34-64 of the study, the zero waste philosophy is mentioned. however, zero waste approach and circular economy link or sustainability link is not established. I suggest linking with the information given in the following lines.

- conceptual confusion prevails in the conceptual framework of the study. The work needs to be restructured. Topics such as circular economy, rapid production-consumption, and sustainability are given intertwined and without any connection. as such, it is weak in terms of contributing to the literature.

- - The methodology of the employee, why the method was preferred, the criteria according to which the sample was selected and its ability to represent the universe were not explained.

- besides, the systematic followed in the study is not clear. I think that the systematic of the study should be given in the form of a table while structuring the study.

- The research question and findings of the study were not discussed in the discussion part.

- The part of the study that differs from the literature and the dimensions that contribute to the literature are not given.

Good Luck

This manuscript can be summarized in one sentence: A qualitative study revealed that young Lithuanian fashion designers exhibit a positive attitude towards sustainability solutions in the textile industry but lack resources. Some comments are as follows:

1. Besides qualitative survey, can authors give quantitive analysis based on turnover and invest on recycling or other available data?

2. Please avoid using term such as 'organic cotton', which is unscientific and misleading. Cellulose itself is organic molecule.

Reviewer 3 Report

The topic of the manuscript is valuable and up-to-date and fully corresponds to the topic of the special issue. The analysis provides valuable insights into the complex process of transitioning the textile and fashion industry towards a circular economy. It highlights the importance of knowledge, substantial financial investments for technological advancements, and increased consumer purchasing power to support the production of circular-based products.

The manuscript  sheds light on the challenges faced by new fashion brands aiming to adopt circular economy principles. Using interviews, it shows  the perspectives of young Lithuanian fashion designers regarding sustainability solutions in the industry. The study reveals a positive inclination towards incorporating sustainability into their fashion brands, but it also exposes the fragmented nature of their efforts.

Overall, the findings demonstrate the aspirations of young Lithuanian fashion designers to establish sustainable fashion brands and integrate them with circular economy practices. However, it becomes evident that their current endeavors are fragmented rather than comprehensive. Despite the research conducted, the challenge of encouraging fast fashion manufacturers in Lithuania to adopt sustainable fashion production methods remains unanswered. This analysis highlights the need for further exploration and strategic interventions in this area.

My question to the authors is how the representation of the 21 studied companies was ensured. Did they use statistical methods to analyse the data?

From my point of view the report should include any empirical study to check the conclusions. Probably will be better to do a survey to employees.
