Improving Cruise Crew Competency and Cultivating Global Citizenship: A Sustainable Development Approach for the Cruise Industry
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
General comments
=============
The study aimed to investigate the global citizenship, occupational values, service attitude, service competency, and career identity of aspiring cruise industry professionals influencing each other. I want to express several concerns and provide some comments and suggestions. The following comments and suggestions will help improve this paper.
=============
Major comments
---------------------
1. This paper should not only elucidate specific companies' efforts towards ESG in the literature but also explain the overall industry trends to provide readers with a better understanding.
2. Within the context of hypothesis inference, the author references several theories for each hypothesis, such as the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), Social Exchange Theory, and Theory of Planned Behavior, among others. Nonetheless, which theoretical framework takes precedence as the primary underpinning? Further elaboration on this principal theoretical foundation is warranted.
Minor comments
---------------------
3. Regarding sample acquisition, the study engaged young adults with aspirations for service-oriented careers in South Korea. This facet necessitates nuanced exposition, particularly regarding whether this sample effectively encapsulates the intricate nuances of the cruise crew industry.
4. The authors can discuss results, implications for managers, and scope for future research in different sections to enhance readability. And please try to make some different points of view for different countries about the cruise crew industry.

Reviewer 2 Report
Dear authors, this is a well written paper and has good value in this world of tourism post pandemic. There are a few things that are not very clear and can be improved:
1. who were the participants, what is their relevance to the cruise industry and how was sample selected
2. What types of questions were asked.
3. Literature review section is too long and can be succint.
4. The acronym ESG is not explained in the beginning where is appears first but only in the end
5. ESG can be better brought into the picture with the results, the hypothesis how do they pertain to ESG?
There are some incomplete sentences that need to be corrected.
