The author developed a comprehensive index evaluation method to evaluate the ecological carrying 10 capacities of the five lake basins, and analyzed the spatiotemporal variations of ecological carrying capacity and its driving factors. This analysis holds significant implications for balancing socio-economic development with ecological carrying capacity. I have a few minor suggestions regarding the content of the article:
1. Combine Table 2 and Table 4.
2. What is meant by "geo-detector" mentioned in line 432? An introduction is needed.
3. Are the q-values statistically significant?
4. How is the fitting performance of the model? What is the goodness of fit?
5. Is Table 9 incomplete?
6. In line 443, "Ecological elasticity" should be ">0.7"

This study constructed the ecological carrying capacity evaluation index system from three dimentions: ecological function elasticity, resource supply and environmental capacity, and socio-economic coordination，and analyzed the ecological carrying capacity of five lake basins of the Central Yunnan Plateau.
Although this paper is valuable, there are still some points for improvement and discussion:
Firstly, the significance of ecological carrying capacity evaluation was elaborated in the paper, but the concept of ecological carrying capacity was not mentioned.
Secondly, the main indicators for socio-economic coordination in this paper include economic density, population density, real GDP per capita, etc. In fact, the socio-economic factors that affect ecological carrying capacity are mainly human activities around the five lake basins, such as tourism activities. Therefore, it is recommended to include human activities factors （e.g. tourism activities) in socio-economic coordination indicators.
English language needs further improvement.
