-          Please rearrange the keywords alphabetically.

-          In line 30, please clarify the following expression and also cite with suitable references: "Goal 7 for the United Nations Agenda".

-          For readers to quickly catch your contribution, it would be better to highlight major difficulties and challenges, and your original achievements to overcome them, in a clearer way in abstract and introduction.

-          In the results section, an in-depth discussion should be made for enhancing the practical implication of the results and findings from current study, which will be more useful than that for only performing the statistical data collection and analysis.

-          The English writing style should be enhanced to the readership.

Dear Authors. The research material presented in your manuscript demonstrates a great deal of scholarly research on social and institutional aspects of energy transition. It is of some interest to the readers. At the same time, there are a number of minor comments regarding the structure of the manuscript that you may wish to address.

1.In the abstract, it is recommended to state the purpose of the study more clearly.

2. The manuscript lacks a "Discussion" section. The study does not address economic aspects (e.g. uneven economic development of EU countries), which are important factors in the development of institutions and the formation of sustainable behavior of citizens of EU member states with a lower level of economic development than the leading countries of the Union. Therefore, it would be useful to explain in this section why economic factors were not considered, or why the study is limited to social aspects only, or how to address contradictions between EU countries with different levels of economic development in the context of energy transition.

3. The conclusions should also be more specific and indicate in which direction this study could be developed.

Best Regards

Comments are in the PDF file. The manuscript is comprehensive , appreciated but long. Please consider if you may present more readable figures .

Dear Reviewer,

thank you very much for the appreciation. We are aware of the information density within the Figures, especially as displayed in the text. Therefore, we provide the high-quality images separately to facilitate the review.

This paper discuss about How could people and communities contribute to the Energy Transition? Conceptual maps to inform, orient, and inspire design actions and education. This is very important topic nowadays and I have few thing need to addressed by authors:

1.       Figure 2 would be better placed after line 138.

2.       In figure 2, Another things should be added to discuss the 4.0 Industry Revelation in ET and  The figure is not visible. Please increase the picture quality.

3.       In Figure 2, the section on policy and regulations should not be limited to just renewable technology or others. It should include other factors such as innovation technology, infrastructure development, demand response, digitalization, and more.

4.       Public awareness can be part of both local communities and industries or policy makers. Include more subjects related to local communities and industries, such as demand response and energy market.

5.       More information on people engagement should be added, not only in the text but also in the figure. Consider referencing recent articles published in this area.

6.       The authors should include all acronyms used in the paper the first time they are used in the text. Later, only acronyms should be used instead of the full words.

7.       Figure 3 should come after the text. The figure quality is low and requires a clearer explanation. What is FOCI? Ensure that the information in the figure is explained in the text, considering readers without an energy background.

8.       The same applies to Figure 4, which has a poor explanation and low picture quality.

9.       Instead of repeatedly using "Energy Transition (ET)," it would be appropriate to use "ET" after the first mention. This is a common practice in many works.

10.   In line 913, you can’t  provide the website as a reference if necessary.

11.   The paper would benefit from a flowchart showing the steps that will be discussed.

12.   The gap in the paper is quite general. It would be helpful to highlight the novelty and contributions of your work, as this framework can be found in many papers.

"This paper aims to contribute by providing a conceptual framework for design initiatives in ET, offering design-oriented reference knowledge and principles through conceptual maps. The visual representations summarize the research outcomes and serve as a guide for designers and design educators."

13.   Did you design any framework? It is challenging to understand your work based on the current information provided.

Some of my comments were not fully addressed by the authors, this paper needs to be rewritten and reorganized with a more technical engineering background, and many technical things need to be addressed.

1. Figure 1: I can't find it in the text.

2. Why does the figure come first, then discuss it? Mentioned in the last comments.

3. Figure numbering needs to be checked again.

4. Last time I asked to give details about how people can be engaged with ET. I didn't see any changes! For your info, people can join the Demand Response program. You are generally talking about it; you need to discuss how they can join.

5. Authors response to my previous question:as follow  "

The website has been appropriately replaced with the project's name at lines 923-924. But where is the name? I can see anything? Where is the references?

6. Line 860-870, many discussions without any references?

7. Line 805 does not cover all the tasks the citizens are involved in. Look at a recent paper.

Many other parts need to be checked; many parts are missing, not cover all the matters,

overall the paper is much better than before, but not cover all the matters as they are not from the electrical background or less.
