The work is very complete:

1. It is an interesting and current topic.

2. Although it is complex in its elements, they are very well understood in the text.

3. The bibliographical review is correct, although it could be improved somewhat.

4. The scheme of work and hypothesis are very correct.

5. Ample and adequate empirical work.

6. The statistical analysis is robust.

7. The correct and timely results and conclusions.

In any case, I propose an improvement to the authors by incorporating, in the literature review, some of the existing works on the incorporation of ISO 14,000 standards in Hotels. It should be considered an important advance on the internal issue of Sustainability by the organization, and there are several works in this regard on the role of hotel workers in its implementation. In this way, the paper would

Dear Authors,

I am sorry to write that currently I cannot support this paper for publication.

The title does not make sense grammatically in English. It would be more correct to have the title: The effect of environmental management practices and knowledge in strengthening responsible behavior: The moderator role of environmental commitment.

You cannot write environmentally management practices: it is environmental management practices. Please change through-out. There are many grammatical errors therefore a proofread and edits needs to occur before publication. Remove all environmentally to environmental. You should only write environmental once in a sentence, not 3-4 times.

This paper needs a full edit as there are too many grammatical errors in English for publication. Some sentences do not make sense and others are difficult to understand due to the choice of words. The research itself has merit but this draft is too difficult to follow.

I suggest you do a full edit with another person who is fluent in academic writing in English and then re-submit.

First and foremost, I'd like to commend the authors on the excellent research paper they've submitted for publication. This research paper investigates the moderating role of environmental commitment by examining the impact of environmental management practices and environmental knowledge on hotel employees using a structural equation developed with the AMOS program. The topic is timely and interesting in light of the energy crisis, fluctuations in global economic activity over the last two decades, and the long-term dimensions and concerns associated with the planet's climate effects. However, I have some ideas for the authors to consider that I believe will improve the research objectives of the paper.

1. A valid presentation of SEM should test the TLI index. Also, the squared multiple correlations (SMC) is suggested to be tested so as to be understood if the most of the variance could be explained by the direct or the indirect effects.

2. The research findings' practical implications in tourism management or a broader social and environmental context must be explained clearly.

3. The article's discussion is exhausted in justifying the usefulness of the research - something that should be included exclusively in the introduction - while not discussing the results presented in relation to the research hypotheses.

4. The manuscript should be revised to reflect previous research on the research topic, such as (Kim H.J. et al., 2014; Ahmed et al., 2020; Fawehinmi et al., 2020; Sourvinou and Viachaslau, 2020), as well as to review the paper's discussion and originality. As a result, following the literature review, the section on future directions and research limitations must also be revised.

5. The H3 hypothesis documentation is not fully understood. It is necessary to explain in detail what b prices express in low, middle, and high levels, as well as how the effect of environmental knowledge on environmentally responsible behavior is explained to any price of environmental commitment for each level.

6. Hypothesis 1 (H1). "The effect of environmentally management practices on environental knowledge". This hypothesis' purpose is unclear.

7. It is unclear how hotel employees will be encouraged to protect the environment and how this relates to the premises, ideas, and thoughts regarding environmental commitment.

8. Sections 2.1 and 2.2 offer two distinct definitions of environmental knowledge. Which one is correct?

9. Section 3.2 "Manavgat destination was chosen as the research universe". The destination selection is unclear.

10. In Introduction "Most of the studies on environmentally management practices have addressed the issue within the frame-work of the tourists". The question is, what are these studies exactly?

11. It would be helpful to have a more credible source for the annual tons of trash produced by tourists.

12. There is a reference to Lenzen et al. without a corresponding bibliographic citation in the article's list of references.

13. The title should be reformatted and spelled correctly. Think about a title as:'The Moderating Role of Environmental Commitment: The Influence of Environmental Management Practices and Environmental Knowledge on Hotel Employees' Environmentally Responsive Behavior' or something shorter.

14. Based on the revised literature review, the originality of the current research must be clearly explained.

Reviewer 4 Report

The opinion that environmental knowledge influences responsible behavior towards the environment is well described in the scientific literature and quite obvious. However, this study focuses on the environmental knowledge of hotel industry workers. The project is interesting and scientifically valuable. On the other hand, tourism is an important sector of the global economy and significantly increases CO2 emissions, water consumption, waste production, and energy consumption. The difficulties experienced by this industry as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic mean that hotel managers try to make significant savings. High environmental standards lead to higher costs, which undermines competitiveness. The research results indicate, however, that following high ecological standards in the management of hotel infrastructure is an asset which, as a consequence, may contribute to success on the one hand in the economic dimension and, on the other hand, affects the satisfaction of hotel employees and their guests. Turkey is an increasingly popular tourist destination, and the increase in the environmental knowledge of hotel industry employees will significantly affect the environment in this region.

I did not evaluate the statistical method used in the study because I feel incompetent in this field.

I congratulate the authors of the idea and the diligently prepared study.

Dear Authors,

I would like to thank you for your revisions. This paper is vastly revised and much improved with both my suggestions and your own thoughts/writing.

Initially I was hesitant to accept the paper and I understand that English is a second language, some compromises can be given from both sides.

As I believe this to be an original piece of research, I am approving the acceptance of the paper.

Do keep researching in the future.
