Thank you for allowing me to review Food Waste and Environmental Sustainability of the Hotel Industry in Taiwan. I read this study very interestingly as a professor related to food service.
This study is very timely and will receive attention. I hope this research will be more valuable, and I'm giving you some advice.
-In the introduction, it is necessary to deal with previous studies on food waste, not limited to specific regions. The critical review of prior studies and the differentiation of this study should be emphasized.
-The discussion should serve to interpret the findings of this study compared to existing literature to provide readers with a deeper understanding and to emphasize the importance and contribution of the study.
- Increase the value of this study by presenting theoretical contributions and expandability in theoretical implications.
- Describe the practical implications based on the findings. Ex) Consumers, Promotion, Unforeseen factors, etc.

This paper study Food Waste and Environmental Sustainability of the Hotel Industry in Taiwan. Apart from this research contribution to the body of knowledge, it requires significant changes. The article needs to incorporate the comments given by the reviewer in each section.

Restructure your introduction according to this pattern and need to be more comprehensive

However, there is a need for improvement in several key areas to enhance the manuscript's clarity and overall contribution to the field. My suggestions are as follows:
a. Introduction Clarity: The introduction section is well-written but could benefit from a more concise and focused presentation of the research problem and objectives. Provide a clear and succinct research question or hypothesis at the beginning.
b. Literature Review: There is no review section. Include recent literature on the topic to demonstrate the relevance and currency of your research.
c. Methodology: Provide a more detailed explanation of the Analytic Network Process (ANP) methodology, especially for readers who may not be familiar with it. This will help in understanding how the research was conducted. Include information about the selection process for the hotel respondents, such as the criteria used for choosing specific hotels.
d. Discussion and Implications: Expand on the practical implications of the research. How can hotels use this information to reduce food waste effectively? Also, corroborate your findings with previous studies and provide actionable recommendations.
e. Conclusion: The conclusion should portray philosophical bearings from what is obtained or discovered in the empirical findings of the study. Summarize the key findings concisely and restate their importance in addressing the research problem. More theoretical and practical implications should be suggested.
