Reviewer’s comment: This paper is focused in the “Urban honey: a review of its physical, chemical, and biological parameters that connect it to the environment”. This is a novel topic since urban honey, since the European Economic and Social Committee promoted the urban beekeeping movement.

Author’s comment: Thank you for your comment.

Reviewer’s comment: Authors have done a very good reviewer with articles from 2003 to 2021. It would be good if authors can find some papers from 2022. For example: An evolutionary approach for the optimization of the beekeeping value chain (2022).

Author’s comment: According to your comment, we have added this reference, and other reference from 2022.

Reviewer’s comment: Abstract: Please, in this sentence, “Humans mainly use the land for agriculture and housing, resulting in the loss of natural habitat and a decrease in the number of species, including wild bees” add some similar as in most case resulting….Sometimes the farming reduce the probability of abandonment of the land. So, agriculture is not always negative.

Author’s comment: According to your comment, we have added this sentence: ‘, although sometimes the farming reduces the probability of abandonment of the land’ in abstract section.

Reviewer’s comment: I suggest if authors can mention something about when and why European Union started to support the urban honey.

Author’s comment: According to your comment, we have added this idea in manuscript.

Reviewer’s comment: I suggest if authors can mention, just a little bit, la social benefits for urban beekeeping.

Author’s comment: According to your comment, we have added social aspect in the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

I have gone through the manuscript "Urban honey: a review of its physical, chemical, and biological parameters that connect it to the environment" and found it very informative for the readers in general and for the scope of the journal in particular. The linkage of past work in the line of correlating physical, chemical, and biological parameters that evaluate the quality of honey products and their environment may have the potential for the study of the urban pollution level. Scientific literature is still scarce in the international domain, hence, this review paper may help for the promotion of the urban honey amongst the growers. In my opinion, it may be published after necessary corrections are highlighted in the manuscript.
