Advanced Manufacturing Design of an Emergency Mechanical Ventilator via 3D Printing—Effective Crisis Response
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The article is written properly and investigations were done appropriately
Few concerns
Fig 2 needs to be provided again, with clear identifications
Fig 3, axis needs to be provided (the reader must know which orientation the fig is when looking all at the same instance) same for other figs too.
Fig 11, alignment issue
The conclusion part is merged with the discussion part; which the reviewer thinks to be separate.

Reviewer 2 Report
The paper discusses the optimization and production of emergency ventilators in health systems. Further based on the CAD files, partial redesign to limit dimensional variability and the printing process has been performed to create Metallic and thermoplastic composite ventilators.
Overall, the manuscript seems good to publish but some major revisions need to be addressed in the current form of the manuscript. These are:
· Abstract should revise to add key findings in the context of Metallic and thermoplastic composite ventilators with respect to real operating conditions.
· Add more details about the Mark Forged Composite Nylon printer & Metal-Χ printer’s specification and working parameters in the methodology section 3.3.
· Conclusion & Future scope section should be added.
· Overall, improve the quality of the figures such as Figure 4.
Hence, reframing of the manuscript should be done.
