Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This study addresses the important issue of transformational leadership and its impact in the manufacturing industry on environmentally friendly and cost-effective resource management. This issue is particularly important in the broader context of the activities of various entities in supporting sustainable development.

The article contains the necessary elements and demonstrates appropriate methodological skills, conclusions flow from the results and are utilitarian, as well as fit into the context of the results of other researchers.

The main question is if and how does managers' green transformational leadership (GTL) effect on financial performance (FP). I consider the topic oryginal add relevant in the field. This study aims to introduce a completer analytical framework by considering the direct impacts of managers' GTL on FP (financial performance) and the indirect impacts of managers' GTL under the joint action of corporate environmental strategy (CES), green product innovation (GPT), and green process innovation (GPI). The study enables to better understanding both how firms can fulfill their environmental responsibilities and how they can improve their FP. The applicability of the results of the study lies in the fact that managers are given a framework to be able to improve GI (green innovation) and FP by adopting the GTL style. Authors build proped research model, which makes it easier to understand the research assumptions and connections between the researched issues. The relationships between the analyzed variables were described, which led to the formulation of research hypotheses, and then they were tested using statistical methods. The conclusions consistent with the evidence and arguments presented and they address the main question posed. The references (107) are current and extensively discuss the topic of the study. Figures and tables in the text are correct and their inclusion is justified.

Reviewer 2 Report

In the paper "How managers' green transformational leadership affects a firm's environmental strategy, green innovation, and performance: The moderating impact of differentiation strategy",the authors aim to study the effect of managers' ecological transformational leadership (GTL) on financial performance (FP). The analysis is based on data collected from 315 ISO 14001 certified companies.

The work methodology is correct and the work is structured so that understanding the concepts conveyed in the work is easy.Among the results obtained by the authors in the paper are mentioned:

-it can be seen from the analysis that the GTL of managers affects CES, GPI, GPT and FP in a direct way

-the importance of GPI in improving GPT is also highlighted.

-the study allows managers a framework to be able to improve GI and FP by adopting the GTL style

Considering the above, I am applying for admission to publication of the article in its current form.

Best regards,
